Our Story

Welcome to Honor Skate Co. My name is Zach Warf. I grew up skateboarding in parking lots and apartment complexes in Lancaster, Ohio. Skateboarding was an integral part of my life—then and now—that taught me valuable life skills: comradery, perseverance and how to overcome adversity. I believe anyone who has ever, or will ever, pick up a board and skate will acquire these traits. 

These skills helped shape my career path. I advanced from a data entry role to a project and team lead at an industry leading ecommerce company in just a few years. I have continued my career growth and progress by leading development and software quality teams. After reflecting on my successes, one thing became increasingly clear: I owe it all to skateboarding. 

Honor Skate Co. represents my passion for the skateboarding community brought to life. I’ve known for years that my true calling was to create a philanthropically-driven and environmentally-friendly skateboard company. I’m proud to say that every board purchased from Honor Skate Co. plants a tree. Plus, some limited runs will closely tie to a cause or nonprofit that our sales support, such as mental health organizations and Black Lives Matter. 

Although I don’t skate as much as I did when I was younger, I still respect it. I love it. Skateboarding has taken me so many places and helped me accomplish so much in my life. If you’re a skater, I’m sure you can relate. Skateboarding instills in us the life skills to take us wherever we want to go.
